We have a 2007 Apex (ER), bought in 2008 and the past two years has been giving us problems. In tight trails where you're on and off the gas a lot, it doesn't drop from 4-5k fast enough, which triggers the TORS (code 84), bringing the sled down to idle range. To fix it you just have to restart the sled to clear the yellow light/code.
The TORS is obviously just doing it's job, since the sled isn't dropping RPM's fast enough, what would be the reason for it? Going to check to see if there are any air leaks around the boots and throttle cable tension (throttle cable was checked last year but it still happened after that). Other than that any ideas? The speed sensor was changed last year (a somewhat unrelated problem occurred, the mileage increased around 800 miles for no apparent reason. It was changed thinking the speed sensor went bad creating some weird effect to the mileage reading).
