After running 1/2 throttle for 1/2 mile when I let up on gas sled dies out, seems very lean, flipping on choke seems to help. Then runs normal till another run. It seems like its running out of gas. Have 6 gallons in tank, some deicer, checked and cleaned jets put in 45 pilots 1 bigger .7 paj 2 smaller, still the same, pulled hose out of tank and checked hose for cracks filter looks ok. Will get new hose and filter this week. Could fuel pump or vacuum line do this? Top end seems fine but dont want to push it. Started this last day in bighorns. Also has powerjets. Has new carb boots, Had a stumble last week I might had a plugged air jet, no stumble at all now. Also new vforce reeds, had timing checked and tps adjusted. Unhooked throttle kill switch also, Any help would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hose in tank feel rubbery,w ill change, may be kinking.

We had a problem just like that with an 06 Switchback 600 and all we did was take the smallest drill bit we had and put a tiny hole in the middle of the gas cap and that fixed the bog problem

600 bog

:Have not checked VR drove it tonight, lites were normal brightness what should I look for 12 to 14 volts? Also thought about vent lines and checkvalve so I kept openning the gas cap just in case. Good ideas guys! Drained tank and fresh fuel same bog, checked powervalve bellows ok , I wonder if something is floating around inside the pilot circuit? May pull carbs again and remove pilots, pajs, and fuel screws. Tryed new vaccum line to fuel pump. Seems to take full throttle and looses it on pilot circuit , like no fuel.

600 bog

Still having trouble, fuel pump held pressure, powervalve bellows ok, pilots now 55, needles middle, 420 mains, power jets removed drove across field let up almost stalled, only way to make it home was run 1/2 choke. Turned off sled took off helmet, started sled ran fine drove around house fine?????????? Had carbs all apart and cleaned. Jetting richer than ever but doesnt load up, kept loosing gas cap doesnt matter

Did you check the rubber carb boot? Polaris was having problems with those delaminating and sucking air (lean). Give it a look and see if it looks good. They now sell an upgraded part. Had this happen on an 08 600 carb and an 08 D8.

Where are your fuel screws set? Most guys end up putting smaller pilot jets in these sleds because the bottom end is way to rich from the factory.

Fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the fuel pump was acting up, put one on from 2000 600 drove across field at least 10 times never stalled or had to choke it. I'ii get a new one or rebuild it. I took it apart didnt see cracks in bellows or dirt. Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!

rebuilt fuel pump

Rebuilt my fuel pump didnt work, took it apart, looks ok, ordered a new one, agree with Moresnow just get new one. Kit had mikuni parts too. Its only $$$$

still not fixed

Just installed new fuel pump, still bogs out, put back on pump from 2000 600 and never bogged at all. I'm so confused!!!!! Very little snow left to test. Welcome any ideas. edit. Added 5 gal gas was much better only bogged once in 20 passes

Stator taking a dump maybe? runs good when cool, not when hot? its a stretch, but its easy to ohm check it to rule it out.

i have had similar grief with my carbed 06 600HO. It tgink it is electrical for me. Do a check of your stator. Pull the 2 plugs comig from it and check the resistance accross a few points

yel to brn 0.15 ohms
brn to engine - 0 ohms
blk/red to grn - 15 ohm
red to grn - 15 ohm
blk or white to engine - 0 ohm
white /red to white - 185 ohm

also, check your carb boots. I found one of the boots was no good. I am hoping that was my issue. Change your plugs even if they look good.
