2006 TRA tune-up

if the clutch has had regular cleaning & it was working good the last time you rode it i
would say clean it & check for excessive play in the moving parts, if all looks good just ride it , IMHO , good luck

Yea Brian ... oughtta be a good cleaning, check tolerances on bushings, rollers, make sure spring is intact etc ... slap her back on and go. TRA III is far less prone to be screwed than the TRA VII ;)

I had about 4500 mi on mine when I found my roller tips were worn. I should have caught it sooner because it messed up the ramps. Everything else seems to be fine. I think the roller tips will probably the first thing to go. Like everyone else said keep it clean and they last pretty good.

2006 TRA tune up

Like the others said, clean and blow out belt dust, use scotch brite to clean the sheaves.

After 2000 miles or each year, you should replace the primary spring with a new one. The spring weakens over time and you get less performance out of the clutch.
