2006 summitX fly wheel??

I am pulling the e start off my 2006 summit-X. I have had 2 different dealers tell me different things about pulling the fly wheel off the primary clutch. One place told me to leave it because it balances the clutch. One told me I can pull it off with no issues. Help please. Thanks guys

BJ for clarity are you saying yank it? I have heard both sides from reputable sources.

Yes yank it. The clutch is balanced on its own. Thats what those flimsy looking washers inside the sheave are for..ran without my flywheel for over 3000 miles.
