2006 Summit clutch help

What can i do?

I have a 2006 Summit Adrenaline, I have been told that out of the box they where set up as far as the clutches. Is this true? Would I see any improvement with a Dnyno Joe clutch kit or any other kit? It holds the RMPs when I climb or in the powder.

Is there anything else that I can do to improve performance?

What other maintance should I be doing, I clean the RAVE valves, chech belt height in the 2nd, and check the chain case oil.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

I have an 06 800 also mine runs great with stock clutching. Mine is an 159x so it has the roller secondary, I dont know if that would help you. You can buy the roller half for yours. For maint. I blow my primary out with compressed air after every ride and secondary every few. The secondary I take off and with the tool still in that seperates the halfs I blow air down in the valley. I clean and inspect the chain case dipstick and then adjust the chain every ride. There have been more than a few broken chains on this year, however I havent. I just replaced mine at 3,500 mi. As far as getting more preformance I'm a beliver in leaving them stock. They run as good as any sled out there and why get into jetting and clutching issues when you can just ride and enjoy.

I have done alot of searching, my problem is that I have found very few that have done anything to the 2006 summits. Before I go and drop $300 on a clutch kit I was trying to find someone that has done it.

The 2006 is clutched fairly close to as good as it gets. We have tried some kits including Joes. It results in a little better hole shot if drag racing. In the mountains it does have a little better feeling back shift. But perfomance up the hill it is fary close.
It is margainly better. Dont think you are going to bolt on and leap to a whole new level of performance. Spend some your money on this expertment otherwise you will spend 300 on BEER.

My riding group and I probably have 10,000km on 06 Summits.

Roller helix 800X

18g pin weight
160/320 primary spring
stock Violet secondary spring
Dynamo Joe Roller Helix
Clicker 4 between 6000-8000ft = 8200rpm

Button helix 800 Adrenaline
17g pin weight
160/320 primary
stock Violet secondary spring
Dynamo Joe Button Helix
Clicker 3 between 6000-8000ft = 8200rpm.

This is by far the best setup I have found!

what did all those add ons give you in performance compared to stock?<? i too have an 06 adren, and all ive done is can and ceramic. it rips on clicker 3 is what you've done make it that much better then stock. and how much did it all cost?

That is what I want to know. The adriniline doesn't have the roller clutch like the X model. Is it best to ride them the way they are set up for the money? Save the money for beer?

I would agree with MAXWE - I put a DJ clutch kit in mine and it improved the holeshot and backshifts a bit. worth $300? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Looking for more, I put in a 800 drop in kit from RKT. It does pull a bit more throughout the power band, but I still don't have the clutching dialed in and not for sure if it was worth the money and time spent. Plus I ride with a 600 so I could beat it before and I can beat it now.

I have a slightly used Cudney kit 200mi that I felt was a nice gain. You would have to get the roller conversion from BJ to use it on your adren. $175 for the 2 springs & coated helix.
$380 new.
