Your carbs may have iced up.. Try turning on the carb heat. Happens to me all the time if the snow if flying over the hood on pow dayz

I take it the carb heat is the red knobs by the carbs? when is the only real time they should be used??

I see your from Oregon ,No ice carbs there unless you were on a trip. The needle clip in many cases does not hold down the needle and they can float up/ down and prohibits throttle getting shut off completly,Take a look at it.I see this alot

Thanks,

I was about 100 yards from the trailer when this happened. It was 35-40 degrees outside. Tell me more about this needle

Ive had cables freeze from moisture working its way down the casing. Take some fuel line and blow some coolant thought to coat the cable and inside of the casing, this prevents freezing as well as provide some lube. Works very well on left hand throttles, as they run horizontal and have nowhere to drain is the start to ice up.....

I take it you were not wearing you tether. Not to be an *** but this is why you dont clip your tether to your bars.

Carb can ice in an airplane at temps as high as 60 if the humidity is high. I would think it could happen anywhere. Mine freeze up on me when it is pretty cold out and on the good pow days. It looks like you will be in it pretty deep anyway so when you have it apart check the needles to. Hope the damage isnt to bad.
