The good, bad, ugly on this sled, looking to buy for my kid. Don't know much about this model looks a bit like a Dragon but not. Has the 600HO, about 2200 miles 144 track.
Thanks

its a bastard year/first year. side panels are a joke, fall off when riding. the 07 dropped a good amount of weight. needs upgraded spindles (imo). i dont like how they put a 144' track in a 155" tunnel. looks goofy unless you put a 155" on it. the rider select steering is sloppy.

mine had holz front/rear suspension and a 685 kit with a 155 and solid steering. at that point it time it was a super fun sled but it took a good amount of $$$ to get it there. my gpa still has a stock one and it is a good cabin sled, but for riding the 07 is a pretty big jump. if its a killer deal (2500??) might be worth it, otherwise you'll be money ahead getting an 07

Good engine, crappy chassis has lots of ice buildup under tunnel... '07 and newer much better and worth the extra cash...

My wife has the 144", when we rode it was in the deep stuff in ME mtns. This is the biggest sled she can pull start. She is 5'10" 170 lbs and can throw it around pretty easily unless I spread out the skis on her. We have never had trouble with ours. But, you may have to monkey with the weight ratio to get the steeing right but we like it. even put the altitude kit from holtman* (I think thats right) in it. Sweet
God Bless America she's going to need it

I ride one of these. My steering is fine, but I don't mess with the rider select. I set it and leave it. The side panels are a pain, but workable. I would prefer it be a 155", but I do okay with the 144", and I'm not going to spend the money to upgrade it. Once the steering is dialed in, it's very easy to throw around can hold it's own when needed. Mine runs flawlessly (600 HO for the win). The tunnel does build some ice up, so it will bottom from time to time, but other than that I really like riding mine.

weighs in at 497 dry versus 475 for 2007, has a front cooler, it seems to be a tough sled to keep cool on hardpack, turning radius is wide compared to '07, has sidehiller 2 skis, not a bad ski but gripper is better. Builds alot of ice in the tunnel in the right conditions.

Rider select steering is great for versatility if more than one person is riding it. The engine is strong and solid. We have had two of them for several years. Other than once in awhile having to pack snow on the running boards (perimeter cooling, remember that?) to cool them down they have been great performers for the price.
