2006 REV hand warmer HELP??

Hello all,

Sled is the wife's 2006 600 SDI Renegade.

Last year the left handgrip quit. I replaced it with a afctory Ski-Doo grip.

This year, the same grip quit. I had just installed some risers for her, and I checked all of the wires to make sure nothing was broken/stretched but found nothing. The next day, the grip magically started working again. I figured that I must have had a dirty plug or something and when I checked/cleaned the plugs I had fixed the problem.

Today I loaded the sleds for another trip, and I noticed that the grip was not working again. I figured that an electrically heated item like this would either work or be shot, but not work off and on.

I'd rather not give SkiDoo another $36 for another crappy grip if I can help it. If I wire in a set of aftermarket grips, will they work with SkiDoo's switches?? If so, what should I get?? I'd rather get the heated grips and not the elements that go under regular grips. Advice??

I've got the same probelm going on except it's my right side.
I'd say go with Hot Grips, they SEEM to be the best aftermarket grip except there like $60.
As long as the grips are made for a 12V system any grips should work.

Thanks for the info......

I was leaning towards the HotGrips as well, but I didn't know if SkiDoo had some strange wiring set-up that would only allow their grips to be used with their switches.

HotGrips it is.
