2006 REV 800 HO Terrible Exhause Smell

My buddy just picked up a 2006 REV800HO and I noticed it has a worst smelling exhaust odour. I have the same sled and they smell nothing alike. Mine has that wonderful, and typical 2 stroke smell. His makes me feel sick. I can't even describe what is smells like

Could this be a sign of coolant getting into the cylinder or are there just some oils that really smell terrible?

It's the oil that the other owner was using, almost grantee it. I have a 700 and the other owner was using some oil that he said was the same as some of the more expensive kinds but man did it stink.

I agree with above. Coolant has a very sweet smell to it. The oil makes the exhaust smell otherwise

Thousand bucks says the oil tank is filled with Amsoil or Ski-Doo XPS

Was it the first ride of the season on that sled? If so, it was old fuel.

I believe it is the oil as I opened the oil cap and took a smell. had a similar, howeve less potent, bad smell. Seems to run fine so thanks for all the responses.

i hardly smell the doo mineral/syn blend compared to the liberty twin poo oil..... dont mind the poo oil smell, but can get overwhelming. i just go with doo oil.
