2006 fusion 600

I have 2006 H.O. 600 fusion someone was telling me about a mod that can be done to the VES valves to make them open easier by drilling the holes larger in them. Any input would be helpful trying to get more mid range pull. If someone has a stock head for sale or even a modified one looking to bump the compression a little.

This mod is popular with a 900 RMK. (So search archives for 900 RMK)

The power valves in theory allow better fuel mileage at lower RPM.

At low RPM, the valves are in a closed position which promotes more complete combustion. This improves low-end torque and minimizes unburned gases in the exhaust stream. At high RPM, the valves are wide open which allows for optimum exhaust flow. This enables the engine to rev freely and produce maximum top end horsepower. (Copied from elsewhere)

If there is no problem with them opening then I suggest looking at going to a lighter spring or a flash to get the solenoid pump to activate earlier at lower RPM.

Not sure how this is gonna help you ... maybe one more skilled than I can chime in to see the benefits of doing any mods to the power valves.
