2006 Apex Stage1SC Problem!

It has a strong bottom and top end but it bogs from 5000-7000RPM... any suggestions?

Are you a Stage 1 or a Stage 1 upgradeable? The bigger compressor in the upgradeable needs more air than the POS that is usually installed. If it is a straight Stage 1 and all fittings, air filter, etc are good, then it is probably the control box. Have you had the "latest and greatest" reflash?
Start with green, then red/blue if green doesn't help. Do one setting at a time. I still can't get this fugger dialed in. Putting a cold air intake on as we speak as I have the upgradeable. Mine bogs/surges between just after engagement to about 6500 rpm's. Can't program it out, was told it needs more cold air, so the snorkel is being installed. Should know results by this weekend.

i built a cold air intake for my stage 1 s/c apex.makes a big diff in performance.the intercooler doesn't get near as hot anymore, worth while doing.bypass valve is a must also.

Venom - did you bring it (cold air intake) straight up from the inlet and have to drill thru the hood? Which bypass valve did you use and where specifically did you install it?
Thanks

Do you guys have a wide band 02 sensor installed?

if not ,get one,you can't tune that thing without it.

i built my cold air intake similar to the front mount turbo set up because i got rid of the stock headlight assembly and went with a lightweight hood.also the airfilter being behind the windsheild keeps snow away from it.u can still run with headlights but need aftermarket ones, prob not for everyone.i went up from 2.25'' silicone & alluminum piping to 2.5'' just to get a bit more volume because of the airfilter being further away.in doing this u will have to trim the inside of the sidepannel to make room for piping.hammer over on the TY web site forum posted pics of his thru the hood set up.

i went with the vortex bypass valve.mounted on the side of the intercooler close to the throttlebodies with a weld on flange because of room restrictions.works great with very quick responce. take a look at the pics.

TY(totally yamaha) under turbo/supercharger forum has lots of info on this.do a search for bov, bypass valve or vortex bypass valve, also for cold air intake.when installing the bypass valve, plumb the vac line in spreading it out over 2 or more throttle bodies.eg #2 and #3 on the vac side of the throttle body plates.where to plumb into shown in pic.
