went to go fire the sled up today and the pull cord is stuck out. any suggestions? does the entire assembly need to be replaced? any help is appreciated! Thanks

What do you mean stuck out? The cord will not retract?

that is correct the cord will not retract

You might try tapping LIGHTLY on the housing to see if that frees the issue, but I would suspect you will wind up digging into it.... if you have any questions that you can't find in my "How To' feel free to post them up... Good luck!
