Hi guys, thinking about removing the sway bar as my friends wife has a hard time with the steering and it seems stiff to me as well but I ride an m-7 so I'm not sure. good idea or bad idea and how to do it comments are very welcome. thanks in advance for any info!:)

I made a quick release for mine (thanks to Kelwar) and I have loved it ever since. It allows me to pull the sway bar when I want to go off in the hills and have it lay over easier. Then when I get back on the trail it takes about 30 seconds and on it goes. I don't know if the set up would work on yours, but it might be an idea. By the way, I really like how it handles with the sway bar out. It really loosens things up. Good luck!

Take them out for sure..i took them out of my XRS and havent looked back since....boondocks way easier. On my wifes 2004 summit 600 she was having a hard time laying it over in the pow and sidehilling(only 5-3 130lbs)... we couldnt just disconnect them so we had them cut out...she loves the way it turns now.For the little difference you notice on the groomed trail it isnt worth keeping them in

I have removed my bar as well for easier deep snow riding, however, if by hard to steer you mean the amount of effort to turn the bars literally, you may want to take some pressure off the skis by lowering the shock spring setting or letting the limiter strap out a bit....good luck

Thanks for the responses! anybody else? My buddy is real paranoid about cutting something off of one of his sleds but I think it is the way to go--
