2005 Summit info wanted

Hello, long time no post, I've found what seems like a good deal a 2005 Summit rt1000 with blown engine. What I need to know is what does it cost to rebuild a 1000? If its going to be way to much what other engines would be compattable with this chassis, what would I have to change(mount plate and everything above it???). Just looking for some options before I commit to this sled. Thanks Rob...

from what i hear the 1000s are nothing but problems and not very fun to ride. You'll be buying someone else problem. Id stick with a reliable 800

The RT is its own chassis and none of the other motors will bolt into it without a lot of mods.

They are a bread all their own. As far as cost no one will know untill you get it apart and see what it needs. I would stay away from the 1000's unless the owner has dumped a lot of money in to it for all the modds it needs to run right.

Thanks guys, no RT for me. would be a good deal if you could drop in an 800 with little to no mods.
