2005 summit 800 HO

I was just wondering if anyone had any input on this sled (05 Summit 800 H.O. 151) I was looking into getting one. Do they run solid? Ride well(maneuverability)? Have any issues with breaking down? Any problems getting up steep slopes? I have heard that after about 2000 miles the engine starts to go bad and you have to rebuild.

Every sled out there has their own problems but 05-06 were the best years for the rev 800's. As for going the highest on the hill there will always be someone to be beat:rolleyes: As for rebuilding after about 2000 miles all you would have to do unless something major happens all you would have to do is put new rings or maybe new pistons in it but all sleds are pretty much that way.

Love mine. If it has not been done on warrenty, install new rings. 02-05 800 had flaking rings.

Other than rings, it has been a good one.

19/45 or 19/47 gears work good.

160-290 primary
or 160-320 above 10,000

Stock hollow stock pins without any set screws works well for the flyweight.

stock purple secondary, stock 44 helix work pretty well.

Could be better setups around depending on your situation but performs in most conditions well.
