2005 ski rev recoil??

I have a 05 rev 800,

think my recoil is going back, should I rebuild it? or replace it?

also thinking I my want to replace to pull cord.

anyone have a good place to but them from?

Always replace your recoil with a new one. It's only 100 bucks or so. Rebuilt recoils have a tendency to fail and ruin a stator.

I went through 2 in one year till I read on here to use some high temp muffler tape. 3 seasons now since fix.

New vs Rebuild

Rebuilt plenty of them. The rebuilds never last compared to a new one. Lesson learned for the future. Also engaging the pawl before pulling hard saves them all from a premature death.
