2005 rmk 900 broke my primary off at end of crank

I recently purchased a rmk 900 and took it to the mountains for the first time I had some clutching issues figured that out and then the second day I was out I rode for about an hour and my primary clutch busted off right at the end of the crank the crank wasn't busted doesn't appear to be bent but a busted off wondering how someone would go about getting the back sheeve off it still stuck on the crank. Also what could've been the reason that it busted off.

I'm not sure how to get the busted crank out of the clutch. I had a 2005 900 and the same thing happened to me. The 900's were notorious for bad cranks, and that is just one of the ways they broke. Nothing you could have done. I think when it happened to me I ended up with a new clutch.

The cranks not busted the clutch broke in half at end of crank and left the back sheeve of clutch on crank. I am trying to remove clutch from crank

I had an 05 800 do the same thing . I had to take a cut off wheel and cut a v or a notch in it . had to be very!! Carefully not to nik the crank snout . good luck. I think mine broke from not checking the clutch bolt. Just a thought.

Had this happen on an '06 RMK7. Polaris has an updated crank available. Bust out your checkbook though!

Ahh. Had to re-read it. I misunderstood the first time around.

Yeah I had to re read as well. Confusing. But I'm not sure of the state of the clutch but you can try getting a buddy with 2 crow bars behind while moderate apply pressure then get a big pot of boiling hot water and pour it on clutch.

More than likely your going to have to cut it off. Being very delicate not to cut into crank snout
