I have 2005 rev 800 with electric start. It is not charging battery while running. I assume it should? Battery is good and completely charged. While running it only puts out 12.6 volts. My yamaha will put in 13.8 or so. Any goods words of advise for me?

OK. swappped out the voltage regulator and was not the problem. One more thing that it is doing related or not is the speedometor is showing a -136- number or some number like that under throttle. When at idle it shows the milage then put rpm to it and it swithces that number. I have also relaced the relay above the clutch that some thought would cure this. Stater? Sled runs great, lights work, just not charge to battery and weird number on gauge. let me know what you think.

IMO next in line is the stator. I'm in the middle of some charging issues myself, but different system-rt1000 sdi, You should be able to check the stator when running with a meter, providing you have an aftermarket can and can access the plug.(if plug is same spot as an rt.
