I have an 05' 800 Rev and wanting to know what I have to do to ride at 300' sea level? What do I do so it is not lean? Have an 01' 800 summit with the same question.

it should be fine if it is left set at stock, as long as there are now big aftermarket things done to it. The DPM should take care of most of it.

It really seems to run lean.......it will idle @5000 if I don't put the choke on halfway. This has me concerned?

Well the DPM should be adjusting to the altitude that you change automatically, may take a minute or two. If it is not adjusting something is wrong with your DPM. The only thing you may have to change is the clutch pins or change your clicker positions.

Talk to your local dealer, anything under 2000 ft and the manual says that you may need adjustments. !!

The DPM can only lean out the mixture. It cannot make it richer. If you still have the stock 17.5 pilot jets in, which still show signs of being too lean even at high elevation, you definitely need to at the very least put in bigger pilot jets. Most people go to a 20 pilot jet, but I don't know if that is enough for such a low altitude. You may also want to try lowering the clip on the needles, and going up a size or 2 on the main jets. Sorry, don't have any experience with running at low altitude, so don't have any specific setting reccomendations. I would suggest erring on the side of too rich while you are trying to find the correct settings. It may bog, but at least it won't melt a hole in your pistons.

My 04 800 runs at 900' to 1500' (Minnesota). I run a 400 main, 22.5 pilot and the fuel screw at 1.5 turns. I also installed 0.015 shim under the needle to give it more fuel in the mid range. I don't know what needle you have or if it's any different than the MXZ's, but this is what I have in my sled.
The only other item added to the sled is a Dyno-port pipe into a stock can.
