I am now looking a 05 M7 (missed a sweet deal on a 07 M8) Are there any problems with the 05's ? What do I need to know about them? Would I be better off going with a 06? What do you think?

05 runs a bit fatter than the 06. I had to turn down my oiler a bunch. The 05 is easier to improve intake and exhaust due to the ECU MAP. If you change the 06 from stock, you will likely need to re-map the ECU, as it runs a bit leaner.
Clutch it and buy the re-location brackets for the skid. It is probably the most fun AC until the 09's. The M7 is a boondocking master.
