2005 Fusion 900 stumbling

Hello Snowest communitiy,
I have recently acquired a non running Fusion 900.
After replacing the fuel pump. It starts in 1-3 pulls. idles & runs with check engine light flashing 3 times. According to my research this should be the Air Tempreture Sensor. The sensor appears to be working using OHM meter. After about a minute it will act like it has been put in reverse. Lights will flash, the analog gauge will peg to max for a moment. It will keep running for about 5 minutes, than stall. It will start back up in 1-3 pulls. The capicitor tested out good.
Any idea where to start diagnostics?

Find somebody else that owns a 900 and borrow the "brains", aka the CDI, from his and see if the problem continues. Otherwise, $250 used CDI's can be bought on EBAY for old sleds. I always carry an extra because they do suddenly go out without warning.
