2005 chevy silverado duramax 4x4 LT aluminum flatbed/ sled deck

2005 chevy silverado crew cab long bed loaded LT duramax. 148000 miles, 8 ft custom aluminum flatbed, folding sides and tailgate, pro tec aluminum underbody locking boxes, loading lights on headache rack. 6" lift professionally installed with fuel rims and wrangler duratrax tires with less than 10000 miles on lift and tires. Dissappear 5th wheel hitch that was never used. N fab running boards installed last year. Bushwacker fender flares up front. Ranch hand front bumper. Custom fog lamps. This truck has been used to haul my snowmobiles, bikes and other toys. Deck has ramp and tie downs.

My Dad purchased this truck new and I've owned it for the last 5 years. It's always been maintained and it shows.

The truck has recently developed a small coolant leak and I have an opportunity to upgrade to a newer truck so I'm selling it as is. The truck is driveable and has not overheated nor does it have antifreeze in the oil.

Coolant leak right side, back of motor, somewhere above the starter?


If it's in the vicinity - the PTO aux cooler plate, on the rear block coolant bypass, has a metal gasket that typically starts to leak slowly about this time/mileage. Like hundreds/thousands of the Dmax's develop this leak. It will leak more over time. New gasket is cheap - replacing it is usually a two man job, unless you pull the downpipe - but it can be done without pulling the starter and DP. FWIW. Good luck.
