I looked at all of the fan motors for that year and none of them had nikisil cylinders. The way you can tell is to look at any OEM Polaris parts website (like Dirt Cheap Snow, Babbitts etc.) and if they offer oversizes pistons and rings for your sled you know for sure that it was not Nikisil cylinders because that would require boring the cylinder.
Check carefully. Some 550s had a nikasil kit installed to help with engine failures. These were installed in many sleds from model year 04 through 07. The best way to determine is to disassemble the engine and inspect the cylinder for the iron insert.
