Back in Dec. 08' I lost a rod bearing on my 800 with 300 miles on it since a rebuild. I wasn't the best about summerization on it and probably got some rust on the bearing and it went boom.
Fast forward to 2013 and I decided that I was done racing Ultra4 cars for a while and I wanted to get back into snowmobiling. So I pulled the blown up 800 off the shelf and get in touch with Indy Specialties, Indydan. He built the motor the first time and I wouldn't have anyone else do it a second time. After some back and forth he says just send it up and I'll see what it looks like, so I do.
A few weeks later I get an email saying for a very nominal fee he is taking care of things and to send him the rest of the parts cause he's assembling the whole thing and want to make sure it's all good. I get back a long block and have now had it in the sled and running for a couple of months. Little carb tuning and some other stuff that I was just working my way into when it let go 6 years ago and I'm a happy camper.
Thanks to the forum here and Indydan for information and doing quality work and taking care of a customer that waited 5+ years to talk with you about a blown motor.
