Thanks for the reply!

I started at $4495 and dropped it to $4195, but I'm about to take all the extra's and put it to stock and sell it for $3800. Then sell all the extra parts to get my full price out of it.

First off, I hope you get the price you are asking. That being said, I its not likely in the SLC market. I have a 2005 with 2500 miles with everything you posted and an r and m full vent kit and a holz front end. It has a rebuilt motor including crank. I had it listed for 3750 and got tired of resisting it so I'm keeping it. When you can buy a 2008 for 5000 all day here, your resale value on an 2004 is not worth that. I just sold an 04 for 2700 that didn't look like it had been run a day. Good luck. I honestly hope you get what price you're looking for.

I just sold my 2004 REV in August or September for only $2000. I got tired of listing it too. I just wanted it gone because I bought a PRO RMK. Mine did have over 7000 miles on it though but only 1500 on new engine. If you havent sold it yet though let me know. I have a brother in law that is thinking about buying a REV for the right price. I also have a friend that might be looking for a sled in the next couple of weeks.

Bro in law is in Ogden and my friend is in draper.

Thanks

Chad

THat sled is a turd. It's going to be hard to find someone to buy it. In this market a turd of a sled like that is worth about 500.00. Let me know and I'll come first thing and pick that turd up for a fair price of 500.00. Thanks

WHAT???

JPK - I agree if I don't get the $3800 out of the sled when it all goes back to stock I will keep it and ride it. One thing about the REVS once they bottom out it will take a long time for them to go past that point.

Mastertech - You're an Idiot. I bet you've been the moron sending me texts and emails daily wanting to buy it, but you don't have the cash!

BAHAHAH.. Since you got your answer above, I thought I would throw in some humor. But from your response, I bet your just one complete tool!

Sold that same sled 3 years ago for $4000. When you can buy an '08 XP for $5000, the only way you will sell it for that price is if you find the right buyer that wants a clean sled and is willing to pay more for it...

What's the average going price on KSL? My guess would be about $3000...

Tough position to be in, I know, I'm in the same boat with my 2004 HM-X. Clean, well cared for, plenty of $$$ invested. New sticker price on a 2012 comparable model is upwards of $13,000- should be able to sell an '04 for $4500 all day....

Problem is there is plenty of people with 08-09 XPs willing to dump them for $5000 that haven't put much of any money into them beside the original purchase price and maybe a couple add-ons. They bought them new, got their use out of them with minimal investment beyond purchase price, now ready to upgrade.

You held on to your Rev, invested some money in it and didn't jump on the XP train early, now you're ready to upgrade but in the eyes of someone that probably doesn't know better, doesn't see the value in your super clean and updated Rev vs. a well worn but 'newer' XP for near equal money.

Stick to your guns, don't dump it for less than $4000. Someone that wants to upgrade from a trailing arm sled, wants pull & go reliability, and is willing to pay a small premium for that luxury will step up with the cash. Those that have been in the game for more than a hot minute can still appreciate the true value your sled represents.

I was looking for some useful feedback about what others are thinking on the price. I don't want to rip anyone off, but I do feel the sled has good value because of whats been done.

If I sold the sled for $3800 I would feel like someone is getting a great sled that will need just gas and oil for the rest of the year.

My last REV Weller Recreation clutched and setup for me I rode 2 years and did nothing but clean the clutches and put gas and oil in it. So in 800 miles of riding that was cheap maintenance.

Snowxx99 - I actually did jump on the XP train. Purchased a new Summit X in fall of 2007, but I had a ton of problems with the sled and sold it after 320 miles and 5 weeks of ownership. I went back to an 04 REV because I liked it so much more and for $4000 it was a $7000 savings at the time.

Now I'm riding a Turbo and this will be a backup sled. So I will most likely keep it and sell it for less at the end of the season when I am done using it.

Can't believe the 08 / 09 XP's are going for $5k they must have a ton of miles on them. I did see one 2008 XP X package with 900 miles for $5800 on KSL. It sold within 4 days of listing it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks Guys

Just wanted to update the post. I sold the sled today (December 12, 2011)for $4000 cash.

You guys that told me to hold out were exactly right! Had tons of people wanting it for $3500 to $3800, but in the end I had 3 buyers that decided it was worth the $4000.

Isn't it funny, when one person decides to purchase the sled everyone else wants the dang thing. So I guess the answer is patience and dealing with all the low-ballers until it gets sold!

Thanks again!!
