04 600 HO DPM / jetting for alt?
New here so bear with me...
I just brought my 2004 Renegade 600 ho to Denver from Wisconsin. I did a little research and bought the proper jets for the elevation. I also downloaded the service manual, and followed the book for installing these jets.
Here is where I become a dummy: I think this sled may have DPM. According to what I have found online, I should not have re-jet because of the DPM. The sled started before and after the re-jet.
Should I have left the jetting alone?
--I changed the 320 to a 280 and the 330 to a 290, main jets.
I feel kind of dumb. Maybe I should have just run her! At least I know my carbs are clean now.
Also, what should I expect with sea level clutch at altitude?
--I am planning on picking up a DJ clutch kit in the next month or so.
I'm headed back to the garage with the shop manual to try to answer my own questions.
Thanks guys!
