2004 Electronics

I am building a 700 Big Block engine to go into my 2010 Dragon RMK that I am also switching over to newer electronics, carbs, sensors, flywheel and harness off a 2004 800 RMK. My problem is the CDI I currently have is off a 800 VES engine and I am putting on 1997 Big Block Non-VES with 220 cylinders. So am I correct in looking at options I either need to purchase a CDI off a 2004-2005 700 engine or have the 2004 800 RMK CDI reflashed to match the original 1997 Big Block timing curves? I am open to any suggestions so please feel free to throw them out or PM me. THANKS!

Best case would be to get it reprogrammed to the curve of the 1997 700... I don't know who can do that for you.

Next best would be to get the CDI for the 04-05 700... curve is different, but closer than the 800 curve is.

Thanks for your input on the reflash.... I am leaning that way as well so I know it is right and the best fit for the 700 big block. I have the timing curve specs on the 1997 Big Block but I cannot find any listings in my 2004 RMK service manual. Any assistance in locating timing curves would be great! Thanks!
