2004 600ho spring rate?

Problem is they changed it so much from the factory that you won't know for sure unless you have your current springs rated.

if the are not 348 then they would be 320s or 280s right

im lookng to trade my springs with a 2004 owner to get the higher spring rate.
it was to my understending that the 2005 snowhawks were 280s looking to get the higher rate since i ride fat style!

Ok Jeremy,

here's how we can do it : Considering ADB used the same spring manufacturer (same steel specs) and considering that the 280 spring I got in my hands at the very moment has a pitch (when uncompressed) that's very close to 1.200" and a wire diameter of 0.377", it is logical to say that the 340 spring from the same manufacturer will either have a larger pitch OR same pitch with larger wire diameter or both; a larger pitch AND a larger wire diameter.

According to me they'd only have a different, larger pitch so they can feed their wounding machine with the same wire and wound it different, that's cheaper that way.

Ask that '04 600 guy to measure it. If pitch is 1.200" (roughly 1-3/16") and wire dia 3/8", they're 280s ;)

rude try a set of stock 503 springs...progressive rate 185-465! id let you run mine but i have them on mine already....much better than the stock single rate spring rate that came with my 600 suspension

down the road im looking to get some custom wound! but i need to figure out were i will start in waight! was thinking it would be 340ish - 550+

280 is way to soft for me like i experniced on tonys hawk at the last hawkfest

If I remember right, the Hawk you rode a hawk fest last also had the center or front skid shock removed. That makes a very huge difference( makes them alot softer. I tried mine that way and put that shock back in after one ride, way too soft. I'm 220 and have an 04 600, with 05 spec valving and that seems to work fairly well. Before I went to the 05 valving it was too stiff.
