2003 xcxp edge 500 oil pan

these older models have a 2 piece oil pan and where the 2 pieces go together the oil is starting to come out of there. has any one else had these problems? any help or suggestions pr things people did in the past would be a great help.

Oil pan? Are you talking about the crankcase?

rather the oil container where the oil is put or sotred before it gets used.

Ok, the oil reservoir is leaking at the seam. Gotcha. I haven't seen this myself, but I would guess a used reservoir would cost almost nothing at a used sled parts shop. After installing a new one don't forget to burp the air out of the line running to your oil pump.
