2003 550 trail rmk???

I just picked up a 03 550 with 535 miles for my daughter i see there is a problem with the needle jet can someone tell me what i need to fix it.

A through knowledge of the mechanics and operation of a Mikuni carburetor would help. Get this from a good manual on the subject. Then fix the needle jet right on up. 550iq

I have alot of mikuni carb experience i just saw that the 550 had a lean spot in the mid range and seeing how i will have kids on it they will most likely hold it in that spot is there a different jet that will fix it thanx Brian

Which slot is it in? And did raising the needle not help?

I have not run it yet i just saw in a few post that there was a lean spot and a needle change needed
