2003.5 Summit X 800 (Rev) wont idel?

I have been searching old forums but haven't found anything to help. Any advice would be great... My sled is a 2003.5 summit x 800 and I am having issue with idel. It wont idel unless the choke is on and is sometimes hard to start. I have full power at higher RPM but it wants to die if the throttle is not on for just 5 sec or so. I cleaned the carbs and the reeds looked okay (I will check them again) and the problem remains. I had a crack in the intake boot and fixed that and problem remains. I will check compression but last year it was good (about 140 in both) Could this be jetting? Anyone have similar issues and a solution? New air filter help? vacume leaks? At a loss!!

THanks, is this pretty easy? THey are down on the underside of the carb behind the float bolt right? Should I keep the stock pilot size or is it recommended to change them while I am in there?

Down inside a small tube/hole. Look at a parts diagram first: www.hlsm.com

Stock size works fine.

stock pilot is 17.5....I put a 20 in mine and like it way more. Slightly richer making it easier to start and idle way nicer.

One thing to check that happened on my sled was the reed boots both had huge cracks in them. Cause eratic idle and hard starts. Make sure and check those. Skidoo's are known for this prob.
