2002 Summit X 800 - Need help

I have a 2002 Summit X 800 that I am having problems getting it to run. The plugs seemed to be getting flooded. So, we took the plugs out and tipped it on its side and a bunch of blackish gas came out of the cylindars. We pulled on the starting rope and more bleched out. Is there another way to ensure that all of this crap is out? We tried to put the plugs back in and the motor would fire over a couple times and then die. Removed the plugs and they were wet again.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The gas has to evaporate out there is no drain. You can pull the exhuast off and that will help.

If the sled still has the original reed cages pull them out and check them for delamination. This will make a sled hard to start.

A bad diaphram and seat and float valve will cause a crankcase to fill with gas.

YOU CAN ALSO USE STARTING FLUID WHICH WILL HELP EVAPORATE THE GAS, BY SPRAYING A BIT INTO THE CYLINDER HEADS THRU THE SPARK PLUG HOLES AND PULL THE PULL CORD 30 TO 50 TIMES WILL BLOW THE GAS OUT OF THE OF THE CYLINDER HEAD. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR CARBS NEED TO BE CLEANED OUT, THE JETS ARE PLUGGED.
