Yes, the 700 clutches are interchangeable. The 700 clutch will work on an 800, but is not as durable as the 800 clutch is... at least in the early years.

Yep it will work as stated above it will not last as long. the 800 does have a different spring washer!!! you can use it on the 700 clutch. but you can not use the spring washer from the 700 ( flat cover on the wide bushing clutch)
