2001 Ski-Doo Summits 800cc & 700cc | Aluminum V-nose Trailer - $4000 (Seattle)
Selling my winter toys. Here is a great opportunity for someone.
Everything included in the sale:
- Aluminum 2-place V-nose trailer (single axle w/new spare tire- I can throw in a second spare if you want)
- 2001 Ski-Doo Summit 700 (Barely shorter than the 151" | 1000(?)+ miles. I forgot to look)
- 2001 Ski-Doo Summit 800 (151" | 2000(?)+ miles. I forgot to look)
- 2 Helmets (one is missing a screw- you can replace it if you want or just throw the helmet away I guess)
- 2 Covers
Everything is current/legal and has good tabs! Used both sleds and the trailer this weekend and got no hassle from the forrest police people.
As of now, both sleds have half a tank of gas, but if I ride them before you buy them they might have less gas- just saying.
I bought these sleds a little over a year and a half ago so a friend and I could do back country skiing. I have done a few upgrades to them because the previous owner didn't take too much care of them. Here is what I did to them since I took ownership:
- Installed a new gas cap with level indicator on the 700 because the old one was broken ($20)
- Installed a new gas cap with level indicator on the 800 because the old one was broken ($20)
- Installed SLP Powder Pro skis(!) on the 700 because the old ones were chewed all the way through ($400)
- Installed SLP Powder Pro skis(!) on the 800 because the old ones were chewed all the way through ($400)
- Installed a new pull cord assembly with recoil on the 700 partially because the previous owner broke it the day I bought them ($150)
- Installed RSI Risers, brake extensions, throttle extensions, Fly bars and mountain straps on the 700 for an updated feel/look ($400)
- Installed RSI Risers, brake extensions, throttle extensions, Fly bars and mountain straps on the 800 for an updated feel/look ($400)
- Installed new OEM reed boots on the 800 because the previous owner let them crack ($150-$300, I forget)
- Hot Dogger for eating warm food ($25)
- Bought a couple covers because the previous owner was a slacker and didn't have covers for them ($240)
Here are some other good things you should be aware of:
- No tears in the seats
- Relatively low miles for their age
- They both do great in the deep powder
Here are some of the bad things you should be aware of, and part of the reason I am asking only $4000:
- The previous owner created a small kink in the sideboard where your right foot would sometimes go on the 700
- The previous owner cracked the hood on the 700 along the seam where the pull start handle is. I never bothered to stitch it because its not awful, but it isn't pretty either.
- I noticed the other day that a handful of lugs (I counted 3) were beat up. The rest look fine and you can tell these sleds have relatively low miles because you can still see the little notches in the tips of the lugs from when they were out of the factory.
- The windshields were taken off for an updated look. You can put it on if you want, but I only have one.
- The grips on one of the sleds don't match. Just go get some grips for like $10-$20 and forget about it.
- I think I might have forgotten to wire up one of the hand warmers. Just fix it.
