2000 srx 700 tripel rail extension

srx

i had an 01 srx, it did not jump very well. they dont even like small driveways. i stretched to a 136 and my wife drove it for two years, huge difference in the ride and it would finally hook up. i had 8ca weights in it, i lost a little top end from the rpm dropping off but it was wicked in the twisties, the throttle response is much better than the stock weights. i had a tracks usa extension on the tunnel and on the rails. their tunnel had to be fitted to accept the rear heat exchanger. if you want it for super aggressive trail riding, widen the front end out, get some viper rear shocks and reclutch with a 136 and a ripsaw 1 1/4 track. with this set up i could finally get the power to the ground with out a ton of studs.

How do you extend the track on a 02 700 viper? Do you just need the rail extension and a new track? Oh and a tunnel mod? is that all it takes? Also how long can you extend them to? Is there a limit per machine? like from 121" to 144" or can you go to 151" thanks Jeff

Rail ext. Tracks USA has a good set
Tunnel Ext. I used SLP
New Track, I used the Camoplast Challenger thick paddle (151 inch 2.52 pitchs/2 inch lugs) they have the "orignal thin paddle" that I thought was way to soft.

Also woule be a good idea to install anti ratchet drivers while you have it all apart.

You can do a 144-151.

Anti ratchet drivers, are the drivers on the shaft that turns the track,

The anti ratchets have "tooth" that goes threw the window of the track, it helps with track ratcheting (driver spinning and not turning the track). The stock ones will have to be pressed off, and the anti ratchets need to be pressed on. If you are going to do them, PM me I will E-Mail you a picture with measurements on placement of the drivers on the shaft.

They also allow you to run the track tention lose.

Hey guys anyone have an extra grab bar off a VIPER? Seems that the last owner took it off and never put it back on? Dunno why, people do the things they do. Thanks Jeff
