2000 550 trail rmk

My son rides a 2000 550 trail rmk. Great sled, but it loads up terribly at an idle. We ride at approx. 10500 ft. Needles are dropped nearly as low as they go. (1 notch up from it) I would like to figure this out, but am scratching my head on this one. Jets are 270s that are in it. Any advice would be great!!!

I would reduce the pilot jets down at least a couple of sizes if not more for that altitude. At idle there is not enough vacuum created to allow the ACCS unit to function properly. On my 1999 RMK600 which has ACCS I dropped the pilot jet from 50 to 40 which was 4 sizes I think (Keihin carbs) and it ran much better at idle. Your jet needle really does not affect the idle. The jet needle comes into play from 1/8 throttle to 7/8 throttle.
