2 wheel kit installation?

Installed the bdx 2 wheel kit on my o6 m7 the other day. Drove it about a mile and parked it. Looked at it tonight and both bolts holding the shaft to the rail was loose. Put loctite on the bolts when I installed them. I didn't put the flat washer back on the bolt when I installed the kit. Looked at the washer tonight and it looks like it is a type of lock washer. Does this need to be installed on the bolt or has anyone else had this trouble. I did tighten up the bolts realllly good when I installed everything.

My kit is in the mail to me now, so I'm pretty interested to see what folks have to say about this.

What do you think of the difference in handling?

never had a proplem with mine has almost two full seasons on it. didnt relley notice a difference in anything. i gess a little weight loss and cool trick look.

Just put the same kit on my 07 M8. I have riden 2 times on it. I definately notice a difference in the POW, but no chances to hill climb yet. I can kick out the rear much better than before. $20, worth it. I followed the instructions, loctite, bolts, etc. and have had no issues.....

I put this kit on my M8 and have about 200 miles on it. I don’t recall putting the washers back on and the thing has not moved a bit. Has made a difference when laying the sled over and maneuvering while climbing in among trees and what not. Glad I put it on, well worth the $20 for it.

Just called bdx and they said you don't use any of the stock washers. They recommend loctice on the bolts and tighten the crap out of them. It was cold when I intalled the kit so I think the loctite didn't set up.

Put the kit on my M7 this fall and have ridden probably 300 miles thus far. So far so good. I didn't use locktite on the bolts and haven't had any trouble with the bolts backing out. I can get you the measurement this weekend when I get back up to the lake.

2-wheel kit on M8 w/ported track

I know there have been a number of posts about ported tracks and some about ported tracks with 2-wheel kits but few about running the idler wheels over holes in the track. I bought a 07 M8 162 with three porting holes cut in the center section of the track. Half the width of each inside wheel runs over the holes in the track. I have a BDX 2 wheel kit to install but am concerned about the two remaining wheels running over the porting holes. I would suspect possible vibrations at high speed. What experience have you other guys had with this situation? A few guys said they did it with no problems but would like to hear from more.
