the money to get my 68 f350 crew cab 4x4 running went to my sled thus my problem. where can i go with a two wheel drive 74 gmc shortbed with trailer? baker, snoqualmie, roslyn are the places i've been to before. i would need to chain up i'm sure at some point, but is this realistic?? or do i wait for a buddy with his 4x to take me up??

Kinda depends on the weather and how long it's been since it's snowed. You could get up the hill to the top of Reecer in good condition and then not get into the flat road of Gold creek after a fresh dump.

In the early days, I went a lot of places in a 2WD truck, even my 1st 4 trips to Yellowstone/Island Park. I put on chains about once per year.

Aww c'mon, you can be both.:beer; I have 2 good friends in Texas that are afro-american and they are most definitely rednecks. LOL :D

I'm always game to go somewhere. If the snows to deep, you can tag along with me. I have a 4X4 and a 2 place enclosed/heated trailer with a open spot.
I'm in Mill Creek and planning to go most every weekend this year. IF, I can get my dayum sled outta the shop. :(

I went a whole year without a truck once and rode as much as regular. The 4m is great for hooking up with rides. And you almost always have a partner, let them drive this year....when it's not clear conditions. then when you get your stuff fixed up..it's your turn...or burgers and beers after on occassion....

wahooo

sweet deal fellas!!! not only beers and burgers, but petrol fundage would be in order as well :D

Btw... Thanks for the burger and beers thursday!

Don't always need 4 wheel drive................

But when you do, it sure is nice! I guess if you don't mind chaining up somtimes, you'll be fine at the snoparks with good roads to them. Stampede or Price creek would be easy. And salmon la sac wouldn't be too hard either. But you never know. I would use the buddy system if you give it a shot. Also carry your own tow strap. Good luck -00's
