2" track on trails.

I know its not ideal for longer trail rides becaus eof sliders melting down but in our area its necessary to get to the good off trail stuff. Amyone in the same boat or have experience with this? Really just need to know who is getting what for slider life on taller lugs when riden on trails.

I have been looking to go backcountry but i really dont feel 1/4 will matter.

scratchers...

2 or more

ive ran 2+ in tracks since 99 in the flats of mn with no problems until last year with the single ply at high speed WILL come apart. was not a snow level problem, more of a pulling wheelies over stuff problem at 70mph or better. dont short your self lugs, if your worried go with the scratchers, or just drive on the side where there is more than two in of snow which is pretty much everywhere. furthermore hyfax are cheap and easy to put on

I rode MN trails for a few years with a 2" with no problems also.
Some corners with ice can be a little scary when you come in too hot but other then that it worked fine. Never saw a big difference in hyfax wear vs. the shorter lugs either. I probably wouldn't go much taller unless you want to run scratchers.
I bet that Camo Lite would work real well on trails...but you'd need to run scratchers with that also.
