2 stroke engine covers

I made an engine cover out of fibreglass and it enables my bike to maintain proper coolant temp of 70-80 degrees Celsius. What I don't like is that it holds about 4 kg of snow in the bottom rear and I'm interested to see what everyone else is doing. Mine also looks gross. I like the sxs engine cover looks. Does anyone have close up pics of it on a 300? I'd like to see how much snow the sxs style engine covers hold

I tried shielding my motor in but it made it run too hot, so I just put a 15" wide skid plate, holds a bit of snow but not bad, seems to pop the bike out of the deep snow better, and keep most direct snow off the cylinder. Protects the pipe too. On a KX500, and I run the same style skid plate on my YZ295 as well.

I think keeping the powder off of the pipe is key. Check out the Hyde racing skidplate/pipeguard combo. I think it may work well. The sxs kit for 300 is so minimal I don't see it doing a lot. Looks great though!
