anyone use one? What do you think about them? I have a tilt single that works now, but I need to upgrade to a double next year. I like the tilt design as it makes for easy loading and unloading, and the split tilt design seems pretty smart too.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Literally just bought a nice used one, a 2004, inital impression is that the double tilt is going to be great. Will let you know what I think after getting to make use of it, hopefully a few times in the next month, as long as I can find this thread again.

bought one about a month ago, way nicer loading than the single tilt. run the sled up, jump on the other side, tilts down and spring loaded lock holds it til you put the pin in. im liking it only used it a few times though

A friend of mine has an older one (99) and he likes it a lot... Pretty convenient that we can load/unload separately. The deck halves are balanced so they flop down to load and once you drive the sled on them, the extra weight on the front of the sled is enough to tip you down flat and then you can just step off.

No spring loaded lock on his  that must be a newer feature or something, but it still works great.

Found this thread again:) Trac pac works great, so easy to load the sleds separate. As stated above, mine has not spring assist but it's basically weighted slightly back, so if it's empty, the deck will barely tip backwards to the ground, load the sled and as you reach the front, tips right down flat.

Also easy unload, just a little lift at the front of each deck and sleds roll right off on their own. Pulls great too, great trailer!

cool, thanks for the update. I am curious why these aren't more popular? Seems like a great way of moving sleds around.

IMO they are one of the best trailers built. Tows great, and is much easier to load at the end of a long day than having to fight a ramp! If not hauling sleds you do have to leave the ski tie down in place to keep the front of the deck from bouncing though.

yah, they still make them.

I ended up buying a Micah trailer though... it was much much cheaper and brand new for what used tracpacs where going for.

Got to love the snow show specials!!

Trac-Pac Trailers

The Micah is Rhino lined or something similar for the frame instead of being galvanized. Also, it uses the sled to hold the tilt down, besides the side latch. I am not sure if I like that or not. I will have to see how it works when I am hauling ars up logging roads in the spring. He ran grounds for the lights though.. and it was reasonable.

Torsion axles too.. never had a trailer with them so we will see how that works.

Oh yah, the guy is in Wenatchee Washington.. so he is local enough.

I see that Trac Pac is in Colville. They used to be out of Spokane, right? Metalind Industries?
