2 lost sledders

any word on what color make and model of sleds they were on? what about
gear? what color are their jackets and pants?

Outside of the "tower" area, does anyone have any insight as to the typical areas they go ride? What type of riding do they normally do? Do the ridge hop?
play in the trees? shred the meadows? Play in drainages? Do they stick to one area and shred it to pieces or are they constantly on the move?

I haven't seen anything yet that answers any of these questions. I am sure there are friends and family that know this stuff and have been out doing their bests to track them down.

the plea from the wife for help has me ready to go. If anyone want to or needs help organizing a Utah section effort to help out please let me know...

With 2 feet of new snow on top I wonder if it might be some sort of slide....

There was heavy slide activity all over the area on Saturday. Saw a HUGE one that broke the entire ridge line.
Also we kicked off a few from up top while looking to drop into an area up there south east of tower... Under the slabs that
we kicked off was the craziest wind loaded sugar I have ever seen. it was almost like quicksand. had to get to my hands and knees to crawl back up.

I wish I was closer and knew the area, I don't believe giving up after today is a wise choice. There is a good chance these 2 are still alive and I hate the thought of them dying out there when all options haven't been addressed. I know they have tried for 2 days but I'm not liking the idea of quiting after today.

That quote from the wife pleading for help is sure an eye opener and shows you that someone is missing them dearly and they need our help!!

I can come up tomorrow moring if they still need help. I wish I could come up tonight but I just cant get away till 4 AM tomorrow. Please someone keep me informed on the situation. I can bring one other guy with me to help. We ride up from the Wolfcreek side all the time so we know that area very well. We are very experiance riders and want to help.

Sounds like they have been found alive.

This is an update from KSL.com....

Volunteers wanted to aid in search

Searchers are going to have to make a tough decision about continuing the search. At this point, they're just not sure where the men may be -- or even what might have happened to them.

Now, the families of the missing men are asking for the public's help. They're requesting volunteers with snowmobiles to contact the sheriff's office and meet at the Lake Creek Trailhead Wednesday morning to continue the search.

"We just don't know if they're hurt or what. We just need help," said Jaynee Besner. "We're holding up the best we can. We just want to find them and bring them home."

People wishing to volunteer be at the Lake Creek Trailhead Wednesday morning at 7 a.m.

I think a night ride is not a bad idea, in case they are ok and build a fire. If we do this tonight, I believe it needs to be organized and everyone who rides needs to have knowledge of the area, be an experienced rider, and be very well prepared. If this were my close buds, I would still be riding, non-stop, with someone bringing gas! I have a 55 gallon drum I will fill with gas, if needed.

Calling off the search makes NO sense!!!

This is another thread: http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=261831

What are people's thoughts?

Edit: Boss' (Jacob's) questions are valid! What do we know about how and where they ride? Are they chute climbers? Slides that occurred over the weekend were likely massive, as the snow was heavy. Does anyone know who rides with them, and if they ride the Tower area a lot?

I could go tonight and am an experienced rider. My dilemma is that My sled is in syracuse and I currently don't don't have a truck or trailer. If someone can help with that I would gladly go tonight.. If not I could for sure tomorrow night.

I'm going riding tomorrow, but after reading that post from the wife, i can't go and have fun.

I want to help but I don't know the area at all. So if anybody knows the area and needs 1 or 2 more please pm me.

Riding skills are good, I won't slow ya down.

I can go tonight or tomorrow and have room for more if needed

info

i am a member of a mustang forum that they are apart of and posted up to see if i could get any info on their style of riding/where they would most likely be riding

This thread is about to run into the maximum limit for free members.
Then free members will be in the dark about how to help,
unless another thread is started.
I hope this is not a silly thing to be posting, if so I apologize.

Can Christopher make this a unlocked thread?

I went out today riding and tried to help. We showed up at the timber lakes parking lot and where told a search is in progress and that we can't park. I told the sheriff that we would like to help and to tell us what sleds they are on. We have been riding tower area for years and know the area well. When we got up to tower we were planning on heading east for quite a ways but unfortunately one of are sleds was not running good. IMO they are searching to close to the trails at tower, and need to head farther east into the "back country"
