2.6" powerclaw on 2010 M8

I'm going to buy a 2.6" powerclaw from a buddy. I was just wondering if I need to adjust my skid at all do I need to lower or raise it, or should I clear everything just fine? Thanks in advance.

Good to go!

I have a 2011 M8 and I just put a 2.6 Powerclaw on it fits great, no adjusting needed to anything except or tension and placement. Another side note is that if you are having trouble getting it all the way in with the drive you can take the brake off to give you an extra inch or two of wiggle room!

I just put a 2.6 on my 2010. No issues at all. I put an anti stab kit on a well, its a good 60$ insurance policy. I would recommend having a buddy help you install the track trying to do it my yourself is a royal PITA.

One word of advice, you may want to turn your front track shock preload down a thread or two. When I put the 2.6" on mine it became a wheelie monster and damn near crushed me several times, my wrists hurt for weeks from the sled going over vertical and coming straight back in top of me. I think I went down 2 or 3 threads just to keep the poor man's turbo a bit safer.

Also, one more question. I found a used 2.6" powerclaw track. The track is in great condition. Only thing is the guy used it as a hillclimb track so he has self-tapping screws screwed into the lugs. What if i bought the track and removed the screws?

Have you ridden that 2.6 yet? I am looking at upgrading the 2.25 to a 2.5CE or a 2.6PC. I also have a 2011.

I switched my 2010 after one year on the 2.25. It's definitely better. I had a 2.5 on my old 1M and I thought it was a little more of an obvious upgrade on that sled than the 2.6 on the 2010. Well worth doing either.

Just had the first ride on my 2.6, upgrading from the 2.25. pretty awesome...really pull much harder now. I noticed absolutely not negative effects...trail rides still perfectly fine, no vibrations or loss of performance. AND the thing is a beast in reverse! Something I didn't even think about when I upgraded...
