2.5" TRACK on ZX WITH 7 EXTRO'S

I need a bigger track for my zx, what I'm looking for is to see if anybody has put a 2.5 on there zx with 7 tooth extro's 3.0 pitch or with 9 tooth extro's 2.52 pitch, any info would be greatly appreicated!!!

Dont think you can clear a 2.5'' track in a zx in stock form.

I bet you could get that 2.5 under it with 7 tooth 3" pitch drivers. The 03's had a slight D&R compared to my 01', I clear a Attack 20 (2.25" lug) with just my 7 tooth drivers. It is a little tight, but I think you COULD do it....if not a couple different people make small d&r's for the zx's.

Thanks for the info the 156 is seeming short for the hp.

You'll need some hp to spin that 156x16x2.5, fits fine w/ 7t extros, 19/45 gears (remove tension idler to install chain & gears, then reinstall idler).
Remove inside tunnel braces, replace w/external braces, have to grind a little off 2 bolt heads at front of tunnel (chaincase mount & bearing holder).

I dropped my skid out of the tunnel 5", had to drop front arm down on tunnel to get transfer back, bulkhead clearance is tight but not a problem, no ice buildup, D&R would be nice option.

My 02 will go anywhere and dig itself out of deep holes with that track.

If porting, stick with 2-3 holes in center rib, I just tore my track in half last weekend, 5 1-1/8 holes across each rib, have been running this track for 4 seasons, not a lot of use on it. Was abusing the he!! out it it in some deadfall, getting turned around, down in a hole, don't know if that helped do it in or not.

705 clams to get a new one shipped off. OUCHHH !!

I was actually thinking 159" x 15 w/2.5" 3.0/2.52 or 162" x 15 w/2.5" 3.0 pitch, thanks for the info!!! Time to start shopping??

Had an 01 zx with 162 x 2.5 x 16. 7 tooth drivers and kinetic D&R which is highly recommended. Probably will not work without it.

Just got done doing one on my ZX. It will work with 7 tooth. I put a 150x16x2.5 under it. Just make sure to get those fore mentioned bolts ground down. Also, check for rivits sticking out very far.
