2 05 800 revs fouling plugs

I have a couple in my group that has 2 05 summit x 800 revs and they both seem to foul plugs often. His wifes sled seems to be the worst at it, on a full day of riding she will go through 1 or 2 plugs. They run the BR9ECS plugs in there sleds. His is not near as bad but he said that he fouled a plug yesterday and wanted to know what could cause it. My guess is maybe the DPM is sticking? both got rebuilt last year so I don't think compression would be it. Altitude would be around 5000 to 8500 feet.

I thought maybe running a hotter plug might fix the problem but dont quite know? Let me know what you guys think could cause the plugs to foul way to often. Thanks guys

I thought if might be DPM related but could easily be to much oil, you want about 32:1 on the ratio, is that about right? How much should it burn per gallon?

The spring on the oil pump does not return the pump lever all the way so it can add too much oil. My guess is rich gas mixture. I have my wifes sled at 370 and mine was at 380 hers runs great and I think mine is just a bit rich. The pilot jet needles could be lowered as that is probably the speed they are driving. After dropping my Pilot jets needles my 380 might be fine. Usually my plugs are black at slow speeds. My DPM stopped working on my 2004 Summit last trip and I finally fouled my 3 year old plugs. Gotta watch the plugs you get them to look the same color as card board and you will not foul a plug.

ECS plugs are prone to fouling..

Change out to the BR9EYA plugs.. gap them at .020" and you will never foul a plug again...

Try it out...

indeed.. the eya's rock!! i fouled ecs every ride before.. rarely did eya's..

and I had an issue with the oil cable getting a little worn and wouldnt drop back to nothing at idle, it would get stuck at about halfway and load up on oil when hanging around at idle.
