1st Four Strk Is Done-what Do You Think?

Finished it Friday night. 1st ride was yesterday. Love it! She's a little sketchy when not in soft snow though-have a sprained ankle to prove it-LOL! It drew attention whenever we stopped:D

Looks good,,,but I think your seat brace is going need some rethink,my experience tells me that you will need brace it back and side to side.

It's a Skinz skid plate. MNescape on her was talking about snow buildup between the plate and bottome of sled and he's right. It holds snow and turns to ice. Have to keep an eye on it-melt it at night or bust it out in the morning.

Did you weigh everything that you took out and replaced? What was the weight savings?

I was weighing everything as I took it off and weighing the new stuff that went on. Then after turning the track around and getting that together I COMPLETELY SPACED weighing the suspension before putting it back in:mad:
STUPID!

Here's what I had:
muffler -8
drop brackets -8
plastic & muffler shield -4
rear suspension -35 (at least)

Those add up to 50lbs:)

The Mtn Tamer felt good. I have it set it came, no spacers, front shock at 90 pis and rear at 135 psi. Seemed to have nice transfer when you hammer the throttle the skis come up but not a real wheelie. Jumps and drops were great! Soaked them right up. I am excited to try it in real powder and climbing soon.

Thanks Allen (again) for a great product.

Looks good, Troy!

I have (had) the Ultra Plate. If the skins plate is anything like that (and it sounds like it is), you won't be able to chip all the ice away. I had 6" of solid ice built up.

I tried cutting the center out of the plate under the A-arms and even riding around here with little snow, it still backed up under the plate.

Ultimately, I ended up removing it. It just appears that its going to be a PITA. I am going to miss the protection, however, as there isn't much there from the factory!!

BTW, Dustin should have our kits ready next week!!!!! I sure hope so, cuz i'm leaving again on the 28th!!

Yeah, we were discussing ways to cut it but came to the same conclusion. My trailer is heated so it should thaw out every night.

Dustin must have gotten snow then!! Right on, can't wait for the clutch kit.
Don't like the footwell after getting stuck in it yesterday. That pipe across the top could go. No walking for me today or probobly the rest of the week:(

Had mine out this weekend. Inside of the Nyrto TOTALLY fills with snow
Is it possible that the motor is melting the snow and it is forming the ice build up under the skidplate??
