1998 700 RMK OIL PUMP

I have a little problem, I installed a new oil pump on my sled but the problem is I burn 30 litres of fuel and I burn 2.5 litres of inj. oil. I ride it pretty hard so a little more oil is ok, but this is ridiculous. Any ideas. The mark on the pump and the lever line up.
Should I turn it down even more.
I sure don't want to cook it down.

Was it a brand new pump? I've had them go bad and then they use a LOT of oil.

If memory serves, there are 2 marks on that pump. One for throttle closed and one for wide open throttle. You should adjust it for the wide open mark.

Also, is your throttle cable, the oil part of it free? I had one stick on mine that would hold the oil pump open.
