1997 700 Mountain max bogging

My buddies mountain max is bogging. What it does is you can get it into wot but as soon as you lay off it you cannot get it back in the power. It just falls on its face and he has to feather the throttle for about 5 seconds until it can start to get going again. Any ideas?

Clean the carbs; including pilots. check all the clutch components like bushings & springs especially.

My guess is bad rollers along with worn out belt.
