1986 Yamaha 440 SRV Won't run!

Quick question. My buddy was given an 86 yamaha 440 SRV last year and it had sat for a few years before that. He can't get it running. he has replaced the plugs and fuel lines and cleaned all the dog food out that the mice had packet into the air intake. he has tried to dump fuel into the plug holes several times and has only got it to cough once. is there anything else that could be wrong. he is going to bring it over tomorrow to see if we can try to get it going. is there any electrical stuff on this sled that needs to be delt with. I'm not familiar with this sled at all.

Check see exhaust isn't full of mice goodies, Spark ,clean carb.,compression Yamaha didn't make an srv 440 unless someone swapped motor.
