1969 Camaro

happened to locate a 69 Camaro sitting in a garage. It's front clip is off and the front sub frame removed and powder coated. The interior is rough and it would need quarters. All the pans are good as is the front clip. The ignition switch and wiring is torn up, it would need a new wiring kit. It was a factory 6cyl powerglide car. (floor shift)

The parts that come with are as follows:

M-21 Muncie

Scatter Sheild

10 posi rear with 4:11 gears from a 78 Z28 made to fit the 69 (NEW)

Clutch pedal

wire harness (used from a doner car but good)

new front bushing kit (not installed)

SB headers n mounts

All the misc parts that go with as a complete car minus the engine.

It's basically in parts. The interior is still in the shell and the doors/glass are all intact. Rear end is out and whole front end is off.

They WILL sell it, just wondering what you guy's might think it's worth and if there is any interest in it. I already have one, don't need two (or so my wife tells me) unless I build one to race. :-)

I have a 67 plane jane car , and i would not sell it for 100 K . But my brother always tells me about Barret Jackson getting BIG bucks for 69 clone cars . I always loved the smoke windows and the key in the dash . 67 has always been my favorite .

You might think it is alot now , but what about 20 years from now . My father sold his 1949 Harley Davidson for $50.00 because he could not afford a battery , and he was hard up for cash. The first gen cars are getting hard to come by . :beer;

Damn i would love to get my hands on that! The last hotrod i had was a 69 SS. Like a dumba$$ I sold it. I had a 69 Chevelle SS, 69 Firebird, & a 69 ss Camaro! Love the 69's:D

'69 #'s matching, complete frame off restoration. Clean. Z-28. My dads car, If any SERIOUS buyers looking, PM me, i'll give you some info, Also a red '68 SS he would sell, both are increadible bad assss cars. True american muscle...

I knew a guy who had an origanal '69 T/A. White with an auqa colored stripes.

My father-in-law just sold his Trans Am.

I'm not a car guy but by wikipedia it was a 68(?), all I know is that it was the second year they were out.

Had it for over 20 years, it was his wedding present.

All original interior, motor, etc. Even paint, minus the stripe, it went from the original blue to a custom job(the guy before him). Paint was really starting to go and the interior needed major work.

Engine was all redone only missing minor things like nonstock wire clips.

After 3 or 4 years of it sitting in his garage he decided he couldn't take watching it fall apart(not that it really was). So since he didn't have the time or money(more so time) and the fact that his son is no good with cars, my wife can't drive it and the fact that I am not a car guy to tinker on it with him, he put it up for sale.

Not sure what he sold it for, but I know he wasn't going a penny less then 20gs.

Guy came to get it on a Friday and the old man avoided his garage for 3 days. It was actually a pretty sad deal for him and my wife. But the guy who bought it is keeping in touch about what he's doing to it and has invited my father-in-law to come see it when it's done.

69-1/2 was the first T/A and there where only a handfull made. :)

How did we go from real muscle to mopar and from that to Nascar? Real muscle was on the drag strip screaming to the finish line, not driving in
circles looking for it!

WIKIPEDIA:

In 1969, a $725 optional handling package called the "Trans Am Performance and Appearance Package,", named after the Trans Am Series, which included a rear spoiler, was introduced. Of these first "Trans Ams," only 689 hardtops and eight convertibles were made. There was an additional Ram Air IV option for the 400 CID engine during that year, complementing the Ram Air III; these generated 345 and 335 hp (250 kW) respectively. The 350 "H.O." engine was revised again with a different cam and cylinder heads resulting in 330 hp (250 kW). During 1969 a special 303 cu in (5 L) engine was designed for SCCA road racing applications that was not available in production cars.[1]
